1967 Ferrari 330 GT P4 Recreation
I am pleased to present this truly amazing car. Available today is a Ferrari 330 P4 recreation. This beauty is built utilizing the chassis and motor from a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 (#6067) and is titled as such. It was built in 1995 at a cost of $225,000 by Jim Carpenter who is well known for his fine craftmanship in this area. No expense was spared to bring this most elusive and rare Ferrari to life. The car has only been driven approx. 500 miles since it was built. It is a re-bodied Ferrari for the Ferrari lawyers who read this.
It is a hand built car made from fiberglass, carbon fibre and kevlar elements. The motor is the original 330GT V-12 but is custom modified with Porsche G50 gearbox and custom stainless steel exhaust. The suspension is P4 style utilzing many 308 components. The car uses Wilwood brakes and produces approx. 320HP. It’s quite a ride!
Since only 3 real P4’s were built by Ferrari in the late 1960’s and argueably only one true P4 remains today (and valued at approx. $16 million), this recreation is the closest way that any mere mortal will ever get to a real P4. It is guaranteed to turn heads as it cruises the streets or as it pulls up to the show ground.
Wheels are made by Technomagnesio (15″ Campagnolo style replica knock offs) with Avon tires: 11.0/25.0 X 15 front and 12.5/27.0 X 15 rear.
Also, note that the prior owner added red carpeting and sound insulation to the interior of the car. This car is currently registered for the street in Georgia but resides in Ct. Remember that this car is titled as a 1965 Ferrari 330GT.
There are other well known craftsmen producing modern versions of this car with modern Ferrari powerplants (at a cost of approx. $400,000), but this car offers more character since it utilizes a vintage motor and chassis (period correct).
In 1997, this car was invited to Daytona Speedway (see pictures) to commemorate the 30th anniversary (1967) of the 1,2,3 P4 victory at Daytona. This was one of Enzo Ferrari’s proudest moments.

I can however tell that this Ferrari P4 recreation is in excellent condition with less than 500 miles on the car. It has been recently sorted and is running very strong.
